Rawalpindi: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said the entire nation greatly values the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces in saving the motherland from terrorists, say media reports.
He was speaking at a briefing given to him at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi today on security situation and matters relating to the defence.
The Prime Minister said the armed forces have demonstrated their capabilities and rendered great humanitarian services during war and peace time.
The Prime Minister lauded that our forces are fully equipped with great spirit of martyrdom and patriotism and do not hesitate to render any sacrifice to protect the citizens from not only foreign aggression‚ but also the terrorists.
The Prime Minister said that being a peaceful and democratic country‚ Pakistan wants peace across the globe.
He reposed full confidence in the capabilties of the armed forces. He said that strong defence is imperative for stability of democracy.
The Prime Minister hoped that the days are not far off when Pakistan will be known as a peaceful and developed country on the world’s map.
