DUBAI: South Africa were 198-4 in their first innings at lunch in reply to Pakistan's 99 on the second day of the second and final Test in Dubai on Thursday.
Opener Graeme Smith was unbeaten on 107 for his 27th Test hundred and AB de Villiers on 26 not out at the break as South Africa lead by 99 runs with six wickets intact.
South Africa, who lost the opening Test in Abu Dhabi by seven wickets,
added 60 runs to their overnight total of 128-3 for the loss of Dale Steyn.
