China offers 3,200 MW electricity to Pakistan


BEIJING: China has offered to export 3,200 megawatt electricity to Pakistan.

The offer was made by Chinese officials during talks with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

The Chinese officials said that the project could be completed in three years' time.

Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the offer and said it needs to assess the offer to ensure cost effectiveness.

The Punjab Chief Minister along with his delegation is currently on a visit to China to discuss cooperation between Pakistan and China in different fields particularly energy sector.
